Finding Dory

It was just announced this morning that FINDING DORY, the sequel to 2003’s Oscar®-winning film FINDING NEMO, will be released in theatres everywhere on November 25, 2015!!! Now who’s excited? See Disney’s press release below!

BURBANK, Calif. (April 2, 2013) – When Dory said “just keep swimming” in 2003’s Oscar®-winning film “Finding Nemo,” she could not have imagined what was in store for her (not that she could remember). Ellen DeGeneres, voice of the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, revealed details today about Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory”—an all-new big-screen adventure diving into theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.

“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”

Director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton takes audiences back to the extraordinary underwater world created in the original film. “There is no Dory without Ellen,” said Stanton. “She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world—not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

According to Stanton, “Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.

“Finding Nemo” won the 2003 Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature; the film was nominated for three additional Oscars® (Best Writing, Original Screenplay; Best Music, Original Score; Best Sound Editing). It was also nominated for a Golden Globe® Award for Best Motion Picture–Comedy or Musical. In 2008, the American Film Institute named “Finding Nemo” among the top 10 greatest animated films ever made. At the time of its release, “Finding Nemo” was the highest grossing G-rated movie of all time. It’s currently the fourth highest grossing animated film worldwide. The film has more than 16 million Likes on Facebook, and Dory—with more than 24 million—is the most Liked individual character from a Disney or Disney•Pixar film.

DeGeneres’ distinctive comic voice has resonated with audiences from her first stand-up comedy appearances through her work today on television, in film and in the literary world. Her syndicated talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” is in its 10th season and has earned 38 Daytime Emmy® Awards. DeGeneres has won 12 People’s Choice Awards and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Comedian for three consecutive years. Additionally, her show won two Genesis Awards and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode. For her unforgettable turn as Dory, DeGeneres was nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance.

I just got back from watching Monsters INC  3D with the family and everyone loved it! This is a must go see movie.

Last week I shared with you my experience at the The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. Daisy and I attended the #BHC3BloggerDay event with Disney and several other bloggers. It was really great getting to know Gaby, Sabrina & Marshall a lot more. When we arrived at the hotel I met up with Kelly and her little sweet dog Annie. Annie is a Katrina rescue dog.

Little Orphan Annie

The first night we had a meetup with all of the bloggers and their fabulous pooches. It was really great getting to know one another and talk to them about how their precious poochies came into their lives. We all had dinner and rested up for our big day in the morning.

The next Day after the doggies had their luxurious room service, we all went down to breakfast and to a showing of Beverly hills Chihuahua 3 with our pooches.  It was such a great experience watching the movie with miss Daisy in my lap. The movie was great. Chloe & Papi along with their owners and pups get the chance of a lifetime to move into the fabulous Langham Huntington. With 5 little ones running around they are bound to get into trouble. In this movie Rosa has to overcome well… some obstacles of being little. Papi wants to show her how special she is by throwing her a huge party that she will never forget. I brought home the dvd for my 2 kids to watch and they absolutely loved it.I won’t spoil the movie so you will just have to grab your own copy to find out more details.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta! is available September 18th on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD and Digital Download. Sign up for Disney Movie Rewards and get your $5 off Beverly Hills 3 Chihuahua coupon.

After the movie we met with film director Lev L. Spiro and producer Sara E. White for Q&A about the movie and how it is to work with the dogs. Did you know almost all of their animals are rescue dogs? I thought that was awesome. We were having problems downloading some video so we will have actual live Q&A video on our Youtube page and Facebook soon.

After lunch Daisy had a doggie massage and photo opps with Papi & Chloe. Once she was done showing off for the cameras we met with the trainer Mathilde DeCagny with Birds and Animals Unlimited of Hollywood (above  photo, right). She demonstrated how they train dogs to appear on screen. Wanna know her favorite training treat? Biljac dog treats.

This past week I was in New York for BlogHer 2012. While I was there I was invited to a private screening of The Odd life of Timothy Green. Ladies let me just say this, bring some tissues. The movie is about a couple who have tried everything to have a child on their own and it just wasn’t in the cards. Without spoling the movie I can tell you that a little boy named Timothy comes into their lives and changes their life forever. Now this is no ordinary boy but you’ll have to watch the movie to find out more. The movie was awesome and we plan on taking our kids to see it as well. THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN opens in theaters everywhere on Wednesday, August 15th! Disney offered a meet and greet after the movie but Daniel got sick and we were unable to go.

Before the movie started we saw a sneak preview of Disney’s Secret of the Wings about Tinkerbell and who finds out she has a sister. We also saw the short “PaperMan” which debuts in front of WRECK-IT RALPH on November 2nd.  I have to say PaperMan was adorable. With it being a short, I can’t give you much details without giving it away. Let’s just say that two loves meet in the most unusual way. The funny thing is they never actually say anything to each other.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Marshall & Disney for this opportunity.

Just took my kids to see the new movie Brave at AMC Theaters and they loved it. We wanted to share two new clips that just become available from the movie.

Disney does such an awesome job bringing to life the wonders of nature to the big screen. We are big animal lovers,(my daughter wants to be a vet) so we always make it a point to see inspiring movie about animal. I am very excited that DisneyNature is premiering Chimpanzee April 20th. What better way to celebrate Earth Day?

About the Movie:

Disneynature takes moviegoers deep into the forests of Africa with “Chimpanzee,” a new True-Life Adventure introducing an adorable young chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph.  Oscar’s playful curiosity and zest for discovery showcase the intelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom. Working together, Oscar’s chimpanzee family—including his mom, Isha, and the group’s savvy leader, Freddy — navigates the complex territory of the forest.

The world is a playground for little Oscar and his fellow young chimps, who’d rather make mayhem than join their parents for an afternoon nap. But when Oscar’s family is confronted by a rival band of chimps, he is left to fend for himself until a surprising ally steps in and changes his life forever.  Directed by Alastair Fothergill (“African Cats” and “Earth”) and Mark Linfield (“Earth”), “Chimpanzee” swings into theaters on Earth Day 2012.

Once you’ve seen the movie we would love for you to give it a star rating below to let other moms know what you think.
