My daughter and I were given the opportunity to try Suave’s Professionals Moroccan Infusion Moroccan Argan Styling Oil and House of Harlow 1960 Sunburst Stud Earrings with White Stingray Leather as a Princess Perk (this means Suave sent it to me in exchange for a review).  We took this as an excuse to have our own Mother/Daughter fashion show at home.  My daughter is 4 so her picture taking skills are not the best but we had fun playing dress up and trying to do our hair different than we normally do.

I sampled Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Moroccan Argan Styling Oil.  I have to say it has a very pleasant smell and the oil calmed my frizzy hair and made it very manageable.  My hair had a very nice shine to it and felt very soft.  I have to say I was concerned about putting an oil in my hair but was surprised by the way it worked and made my hair more manageable and soft and shine as if I was one of the models in Fashion Star.

The House of Harlow 1960 Sunburst Stud Earrings with White Stingray Leather were beautiful and they gave great detail to how they were put together.  The earrings themselves were rather heavy but once I put them in they were comfortable and I did not notice how heavy they were.  I usually only wear small stud’s so this was a change for me.

I have to say that the most impressive thing out of the two products was the Suave Moroccan infusion line.  I will be looking into it when I go to the store.  I would like to try the entire Suave Moroccan Infusion line because I loved how it made my hair look and I really loved the smell.

My daughter and I enjoyed watching Fashion Star and we were so happy that Hunter won.  We were watching and saying what we thought each other would look pretty in.  It was a nice night of mother/daughter fun and entertainment.  My daughter has asked each evening since if we can have another fashion show.

The poster showcases heroic Katniss and a tagline pulled straight from the incredible words of Suzanne Collins – The sun persists on rising, so I make myself stand

Lionsgate is also encouraging fans to design and illustrate the first chapter of ‘Catching Fire’ for the chance to see their work featured on The Hunger Games’ official Facebook page! SYNOPSIS:

Unusual beautyiItems crop up from time to time. Some new beauty items are wonderful inventions and some….well, they just make you scratch your head and wonder WHY. Here are some of the newer items out there…have you ever used any of these? What do you think of them?

Have you ever tried the new Lip Tattoo Transfer ?  It works similar to those rub on tattoos you had when you were a child; however, they have all kinds of designs for your lips.  They also have the same thing for your eyes called Eye Appliques or Eye Tattoos.  While these are not something to wear everyday they are unusual enough that an evening at a club or a costume party would be a great place for them.

I have always known that eating healthy was a good way to keep my hair and face looking their best; however, now you able to just apply the products to your skin and hair to get the results. There is a Yes To Tomatoes 3 Step Acne System; a Yes To Carrots Body Butter (which I honestly LOVE to times when my skin is super dry!) and even Colloidal Oatmeal Soap! Have you ever sat back and wondered how bored people were to come up with some inventions or what exactly made them even try things to see if they worked?

One of the new things that I personally really like and admit to originally getting at a salon is the new Gel Manicure.  Yes, they are more expensive; however, I loved that my nail polish lasted 3 weeks rather than less than a week.  I must be very hard on nail polishes since I cannot make it last longer than a week….with the new gel manicures it lasts much longer and looks great.  (I did buy a kit to do my own at home now though).  Another new nail item is Nail polish strips.  I have not personally tried them; however, I can understand the reasoning behind them.  I am just worried that if they go on so easy and mess free, that they would come off just as easy.

I was given the chance to review the new movie just released to DVD from director Bibo Bergeron, A Monster in Paris. My kiddos (ages 2, 5 and 12) were so excited to have movie night this weekend. Since the story is based in Paris, France we had a little tea party and treats just for the movie!

I like that the movie had gorgeous songs, it made my little girls want to get up dance. The story was about a monster that turns out to not really be a monster at all, but a gentle,sweet, talented creature. It  teaches kids not to judge even though something or someone might look different.

My kids enjoyed watching this movie and so did I. I would definitely recommend  A Monster in Paris for your next family movie night!

Official Summary:

Paris, 1910. Panic sweeps the city as floodwaters rise and a monster is on the loose!

Meanwhile a wacky inventor, his camera-crazy best friend, and a madcap monkey are on a mission to protect the beast, Franc, as he holds a rare and special talent. Do you remember Annette Funicello? She passed away earlier today.

Annette Funicello started her career in 1955 as a Mouseketeer and continued to work through the 1980′s until she was diagnosed with MS. She had a very rough time with her MS and even underwent brain surgery to lessen her tremors. She worked hard brain surgery to help relieve her tremors. Ms. Funicello spent the last years of her life working hard at her foundation to raise awareness and hopefully a cure for MS.
